Please plan to attend our next PTA meeting, Thursday October 11 in the library at 5:00pm. We'll discuss opportunities to help with the Fall Carnival, Book Fair, Spirit Nights and other upcoming activities.

Celebrate the Cunningham community and party at the opening of the book fair!  

       Fall Carnival activities include: 

•  Bounce Houses  (Fire and Ice Slide, Backyard Rush Obstacle Course, Bouncy Castle)

•  Giant Connect-4

•  Carnival games for fun prizes

•  Face painting

•  Costume contest  at 12:30

•  PTA Raffle

     All of the above are included in the cost of a wristband.

       Additional activities ($1 each):   

• Raffle for ice cream  the first grade teachers

• Raffle for pizza party with fifth grade teachers

• Cookie decorating booth with PPCD

       Sno-cones and CiCi's pizza will be available for purchase.

       Austin Fire Department will be on site with a fire truck to view and explore from 1-2pm. 

       "Enchanted Forest" book fair opening party will run from 11-2 in the library, with music, fun, and plenty of books. Come and go between events!

Flyers and envelopes for wristband sales went home in folders last week.  Wristbands for carnival activities are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.

Please turn in the envelopes to your child's teacher or to the main office.   If you've lost your envelope, please provide your own, and write your child's name, teacher's name, and number of wristbands ordered on the the front.

PTA Volunteers will be at the school on Friday for wristband sales and pickup.  Wristbands may also be picked up at the carnival on Saturday.

        PTA Raffle:  Each wristband includes 1 entry into the PTA raffle. Additional entries are available on the day of the carnival for $1 each.

Our Giving Stars are up! The event will include attractions such as:  large inflatables, other "rides", booths such as face painting/hair coloring/cookie decorating/cake walk/etc...concessions sales, silent auction,  and Color Run (the kids LOVE this!)

We need volunteers to help with planning and executing this event.  Please contact membership VP Diana Van Brunt to join in!

Cobra Movie Night this Friday! We'll be watching Coco in the cafeteria. Admission, cocoa, and popcorn are free. You are welcome to bring your own dinner and canned food donations will be accepted for the food bank.

Planning meeting for 45 Fest Wednesday evening at Austin Java on Manchaca! It's time to work out details for this event at the end of March. Everyone is welcome, bring the kids!

Due to the threat of severe weather this week, the Field Days have been postponed.

Pre K through 2nd grades will have field day on May 20.

3rd through 5th grades will have field day on May 21.

Teacher and Nurse appreciation week is coming up!  The school and PTA have organized a week full of surprises and displays of gratitude each day for our wonderful staff.  Please consider taking time to send your child's teacher a nice note or other expression of thanks for a job well done!
